The Button (revised)

The button is up under my profile on the right. However, I tested it with a credit card and it included the name on the credit card, as well as a shipping address, in the confirmation email to me (no credit card #, though, or other info). I didn't try to pay my PayPal account from the same Paypal account, so I don't know what kind of personal info comes with that. I'm looking to find out if there's a way to allow anonymous donations, but it looks as if there's no way to keep the donor's name anonymous on a Paypal donation. There are other options that I'm exploring, but in the meantime, if you don't want me knowing your name, don't use the button. If you don't care, donate away... EDIT: Looking at it further, I think that if you donate through a PayPal account (rather than using a credit card), it will identify you by the email address associated with your account. I can't verify this for myself, though. You can add multiple email addresses to your account, choose one as the primary, and then delete it from the account afterward if necessary. SECOND EDIT: Further research reveals more options, but none of which are perfect. PayPal will give me the name associated with your account; no getting around it, although there's a button to click under shipping address that will supposedly allow you to choose "No shipping required" which keeps your address private. Haven't tested it, tho. Bitpass allows completely anonymous donations, but 1) you have to have a Bitpass account and 2) I have to install code on my server, which would mean I need to get a real website. Snail mail money orders are an option, but it means I'd have to give you an address, and you'd have to risk sending them blank. So this is probably not to be, unless someone risks the PayPal button. One plus: I did not choose the option for you to send me a message with hte donation, so if you do choose to donate, I won't be able to match the real name to the on-line persona. However, I know this is not very comforting, so I don't expect anything. I'll leave the button up for a week, and then take it down if nothing happens.
